Release Date: Out Now
'Something special for all those that remember the Souldrop Turn... AKA Milwaukees, Bedfordshire, UK- the home of ESP and Helter Skelter circa 1991!'
Reviews:
Simon Eve (DJ Magazine)
The Hardasfunk label continues to push the freshest sounds of groove based hard house, with head honcho Paul Janes providing the material on this third release. 'Something Special' is an intriguing retro-tech number with a heavy bassline and techno percussion building up a hypnotic groove in readiness for rave style synth lines to filter into the mix to heighten the tension out on the dancefloor as the track progresses. This is backed on the flip by the equally infectious 'Piano Jack' that lays down a similar tech edged groove and honky-tonk piano solos. Another rump shaking twelve inch from the funkiest label in hard dance.

Paul Janes presents Souldrop Nights Something Special/Piano Jack Hard As Funk (Carl Cox is hammering this) Paul recalls his mis-spent nights from the Souldrop Turn in Bedfordshire to put together two amazing crossover tracks. Something Special already features on Tidy's most recent compilation with old school stabs everywhere. The super cool Piano Jack is where its at though; its popped up in the mighty Carl Coxs chart!
Guy Garrett (Update Magazine)
With plays from Carl Cox and also featured on the latest Tidy Euphoria CD, this is going down a storm across many different genre's. The title is taken from one of the first UK rave venues based in Northants. The musical influences of the acid house generation can be heard all over this hard funker and is a true bootyshaker. Is it techno? Is it hard house? I know it's bloody good and needs to be found. (5 Dancin' Men)
